Azee is a derivative of Erythromycin, with its active component being Azithromycin. It is utilized for treating individuals with acute bacterial sinusitis, community-acquired pneumonia, pharyngitis/tonsillitis, acute bacterial aggravations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections, cervicitis, urethritis, and genital ulcer diseases.
Azee addresses various types of infections caused by bacteria, including ear infections, skin infections, respiratory infections, and sexually transmitted diseases. Azithromycin combats bacterial infections within the human body. It is also prescribed for children to treat tonsillitis, strep throat, pneumonia, and middle ear infections. However, it is ineffective against viral infections such as the common cold or flu.
The most frequently reported side effects in adult patients taking Azee were related to the gastrointestinal system, with diarrhea/loose stools, nausea, and abdominal discomfort being the most common.
In case of any signs of allergic reactions such as difficulty breathing, hives, or swelling of the face, tongue, lips, or throat, seek emergency medical assistance. Additionally, discontinue use of Azee and contact your healthcare provider immediately if you experience serious side effects such as diarrhea (whether watery or bloody), irregular heartbeats, chest pain, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), nausea, abdominal pain, low-grade fever, severe fever, significant skin reactions, sore throat, skin pain accompanied by a red or purple rash that spreads (especially on the face or upper body) and results in blistering and peeling.
Store Azee at room temperature, out of reach of children and pets. Keep it protected from sunlight.
